👂 Listen up! GTCYS rehearsal assistant Maddie Swenson has an audition tip just for you! “When it comes to excerpts, listen to multiple different recordings of different groups playing the piece! Not only is it important to know how your part fits in with the rest of the orchestra (even when playing on your own), but hearing multiple possibilities for how things can be played will help strengthen your own interpretation. Audition for GTCYS!

GTCYS auditions are opportunities for students to play their instruments so we can get to know them and match them with one of our now ELEVEN school-year orchestras for the 2024-25 season. To audition for GTCYS, students register, record a video, and submit an audition online.
