About the Instructor: Anna Andrews has openings for new students this school year! She teaches at her home in Minneapolis, at Eden Prairie High School and Rogers School of Music. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from St. Olaf College in 2010 and was also accepted to master degree programs at Boston Conservatory and New England Conservatory. Anna is the principal second violin of the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra, and has performed in the South Dakota Symphony, Rochester Symphony and Metropolitan Symphony as well. She has recorded music with several bands and enjoys improvising. Anna is Suzuki trained through book 2 and believes that anyone can benefit from musical instruction, regardless of natural ability or learning challenges!

About the Instructor: Since moving to the Twin Cities in 2007, violist David Auerbach has cultivated a fulfilling and varied performing and teaching career. He has had several one-year positions with the Minnesota Orchestra, and also performs regularly with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. He previously served as the Principal Violist of the Minnesota Opera Orchestra. David joined the faculty of the University of St. Thomas in 2012, and also maintains a private teaching studio; he has worked with students of all ages and abilities. He regularly leads sectionals with the GTCYS orchestras, and has given numerous master classes and coachings across the country. David is a graduate of SUNY-Stony Brook (DMA), The Juilliard School (MM), and UW-Madison (BS).

His debut EP Some Dark, Beautiful Morning was orchestrated jazz fusion, but his newer work finds Greg as singer/songwriter; a nuanced interplay of natural and artificial, nature and technology. The language of music is unique in that it can provide every listener with similar yet distinct messages of truth, beauty, freedom; this has motivated Greg to express his own authenticity through precise songwriting and improvisation.

About the Instructor: Monica has been teaching strings and piano in the private studio setting, as well as in the public schools, for 30 years. Master’s Hands String Studio is a casual, Covid-safe, in-home environment where the focus is on individual learning goals and enjoyment of the process of becoming a well-rounded musician.
