About the Instructor: Trudi Anderson has openings in her studio for one or two students. She has a Masters degree in Flute Performance from Northwestern University where she studied with Walfrid Kujala (Chicago Symphony Orchestra flute/piccolo). She teaches flute at Augsburg University and Bethel University, in addition to meeting with students of all ages and abilities in her home studio. Her teaching style is positive and supportive, and is based on the individual student and their goals. A graduating high school student recently wrote “My playing has improved a ton and learning from you has been a lot of fun.” She is also an active performer and a published arranger of chamber music for flute.

About the Instructor: Amanda Daniels serves as Adjunct Instructor of Flute at Crown College. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul, as well as a Master of Music degree from the University of Minnesota. While a student, Amanda served as Section Leader of the U of M Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed as a substitute flutist and piccoloist with the La Crosse Symphony and Wayzata Symphony Orchestra. Amanda has won awards in the Schubert Club Competition, the Upper Midwest Flute Association Young Artist Competition, and the University of Northwestern Concerto Competition among others.

About the Instructor: Carol Gilkey, adjunct instructor at Normandale and Inver Hills Community Colleges, is an active flute teacher in the Twin Cities. She is the first director of flute choirs in the Twin Cities, arranges and publishes flute choir music and flute technique books. She has taught in the public school on Long Island NY, DOD schools and U of Maryland in Okinawa and MacPhail. She has presented several times at the National Flute Convention. Degrees earned include a MM at Manhattan School of Music and BM at DePauw University. She enjoys helping flutists develop their musical talent by teaching to each person’s learning style. About the Instructor: Bethany Gonella is a flutist, piccoloist, and baroque flutist and teacher based in Saint Paul.  She performs often as an extra/substitute musician with the Minnesota Opera Orchestra and Minnesota Orchestra and plays regularly in the Chione Quintet, South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, La Crosse Symphony, and Winona Symphony.  She holds degrees in flute performance from Northwestern University and the University of Southern California and is a doctoral candidate at the University of Minnesota.  Bethany teaches both privately and at the University of St. Thomas, and she enjoys working with students of all ages and levels.  She creates a positive, encouraging atmosphere for students to develop as musicians and accomplished learners.

About the Instructor: Flutist Paula Gudmundson is Assistant Professor of Flute at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Dr. Gudmundson is a practitioner of the Alexander Technique, which focuses on the effective means of changing tension habits and improving coordination. She is a member of the College Music Society, Minnesota Music Teachers Association, Music Teachers National Association, American Composers Forum, Upper Midwest Association (UMFA) and National Flute Association. Dr. Gudmundson is a graduate of Lawrence University (B.M), University of North Texas (M.M), and University of Minnesota (DMA) as a Berneking Fellow.
