Naomi manages GTCYS’ Harmony program, a violin and cello program for 2nd-5th graders at Riverview in the West Side of St. Paul. As Manager, Naomi is responsible for all program logistics, student details, family communications, and community partnerships. In addition to acting as program manager, Naomi also serves as a Lead Teaching Instructor. Naomi originally joined GTCYS in 2018 as an AmeriCorps volunteer, and since then has also worked as the Harmony Program Assistant.

Outside of GTCYS, Naomi maintains a full career as a violin teacher in the Twin Cities. She currently teaches private lessons at City of Lakes Waldorf School, Songs with Sarah, and from her private residence in Minneapolis. On her breaks during the summers, Naomi works at classical music festivals – most recently at Heifetz International Music Institute in Staunton, Virginia.

Previous to working at GTCYS, Naomi studied at the University of Puget Sound, graduating with a degree in Political Economy and a double minor in music and Latin American Studies. She is also a 2021 graduate of the Global Leaders Program. During her down time, Naomi loves to cook and do improv comedy.
